Mobility Companies Adopt NVIDIA Technologies
NVIDIA announced that major mobility companies, including Toyota Motor Corporation, Aurora, and Continental, will rely on NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI technologies to develop their consumer and commercial vehicle fleets.
The Japanese automotive giant Toyota will build its next-generation vehicles using the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin platform, powered by the safety-certified NVIDIA DriveOS operating system. These vehicles will feature advanced driver-assistance systems that ensure both safety and cutting-edge functionality.
Meanwhile, Aurora, Continental, and NVIDIA have announced a long-term strategic partnership to develop large-scale deployment of autonomous trucks. The partnership will integrate DriveOS into the Aurora Driver, an SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system that Continental plans to mass-produce by 2027.
NVIDIA highlighted that the majority of automakers, truck manufacturers, robotaxi operators, autonomous delivery vehicle companies, Tier 1 suppliers, and mobility startups are building on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform and its technologies.
Companies such as BYD, Mercedes-Benz, Rivian, and Volvo have already adopted NVIDIA DRIVE AGX for their next-generation advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous vehicle plans.
NVIDIA expects its automotive vertical, which includes cutting-edge platforms for cloud-based training, simulation, and in-vehicle computing, to grow to approximately $5 billion in revenue by fiscal year 2026.
